Guava and pear meld harmoniosly with the wet stone fruit, lemon zest and peach aromas in this 2019 Sauvignon Blanc. Vibrant and mouth-watering character allows the pear and melon fruit to shine on the palate. A rich almost creamy entry is tantalizing with mineral and a touch of pear ambiance on the nose. Vineyard Notes
Growing Sauvignon Blanc in the mid-Willamette Valley was long thought to be impossible. We first planted it in 1985 and have had extraordinary success with it ever since. Our vines are located on a gentle south-facing slope with maximum sun exposure.
Inspired by New Zealand methods, this crop was double harvested to capture the essence of the vineyard at two distinct stages of ripeness, resulting in a wine that is both vibrant and complex.
Winemaker Notes
Aged for 3 months 30% in concrete egg & 70% in stainless steel.
